Last Saturday night, Americans watched mainstream media broadcast BOTH the President of the United States and the Secretary of State both in Washington, DC and Geneva, Switzerland (respectively) stating that a deal has been struck with Iran on its Nuclear capabilities and the rollback of financial sanctions on Iran for its cooperation.
We have been posting on social media links to many different reactions to this deal, not the least of which was the dissent of Israel, who, stands to lose the most if Iran pushes forward and obtains Nuclear Weapons grade enrichment. In good faith, it appeared on the surface, that a deal was struck at the 11th hour, and all was well. Iran signed on, and would cooperate with the international community and not move forward with its nuclear program.
TRUTH IS TOLD ON THANKSGIVING
We waited several days to report on any of the Iran Nuclear deal due to the fact that there has essentially been a media blackout from the Secretary of State's office. However, last night, on Thanksgiving, it appeared that the State Department finally uploaded and published its "daily briefings" from earlier in the week. We do believe that an "agreement" of some type was reached, however, what was told to the American public was not the entire story.
Take a look at a portion of the press briefing we found last night. In it, you will note a very specific question as to the 6 month period that has been referenced several times over by the Administration. As it was broadcast in the speeches by both the President and the Secretary of State, one would be led to believe that the "6 month clock to abide by the initial agreement had started." This is not the case. In fact, when you watch the press briefing, it is clear, that the 6 month clock has NOT STARTED at all yet. There are "technical" issues to be resolved first and only after that point, can the clock be started. When asked how long it would take to work out those issues, the answer was, "I don't know." Take a look and please share your thoughts.
