ENTEROVIRUS D68: NEW ADULT CASE - WISCONSIN

ENTEROVIRUS D68 SPREADING TO OTHER STATES:  ADULT PATIENTS AFFECTED

WISCONSIN - 9/21/14

Flash News Network is continuing its ongoing campaign to obtain fully transparent information regarding the Enterovirus D68 which appears to be rapidly skipping from State to State.  The CDC last updated their website on 9/19/2014, however, since then, there have been several reported cases.

More disturbingly, is that ADULT cases are being reported, despite the CDC's stance that the virus is attacking generally children and teenagers.  As an ongoing effort, we will continue to question the CDC publicly on social media, so that our efforts are transparent.  We do appreciate that the CDC has responded back to our prior questions, and at the very least, we do appreciate the responses.

Here is a recent comment from a FNN viewer:

"I am 34 and have been sick with it for over 1 week. Last Tuesday I went to my doctor because what seemed like a cold turned into difficulty breathing. He did the test where they test breathing strength. I was breathing at 40 percent of a normal person my height/weight. I was told I had walking pneumonia and hardly contagious. Thursday after receiving high doses of prednisone, two different inhalers and and antibiotic, when my breathing had not improved and the corner of my lips started turning blue, I went to the ER. They did a chest xray and my lungs were fine. No pneumonia. They told me I had D68. Now because my doc did not do a chest xray, I find out I am contagious after I exposed people. I don't have asthma and am otherwise very healthy. nobody in my home has it yet. If you struggle to breathe ask your doc for a chest X-ray. I live in Wisconsin by the way."

Wisconsin had not been listed on the 9/19/2014 release by the CDC, so FNN contacted them again today, September 21, 2014, to see if other states are being affected, like Wisconsin.  Any replies from the CDC will be published in further press releases.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED BY A PHYSICIAN WITH ENTEROVIRUS D68 (EV-D68) AND ARE COMFORTABLE SHARING THIS WITH OUR READERS, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO SO... THIS HELPS US KEEP THE CDC ACCOUNTABLE TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC AS WE QUESTION ALL NEW OUTBREAKS.
