REDDIT DOWN : BACK UP AND ALL IS WELL

August 11, 2016

There's nothing to panic about! Reddit, did in fact go down, but it appears it was for "routine maintenance" (or possibly some well-needed upgrades arguably?) according to the popular info / discussion site.

CNET reports "the so-called front page of the internet went down at 3:26 p.m. PT, said Reddit, and was replaced with the maintenance message and a rotation of quips suggesting you go outside or go check out today's xkcd. "
A glimpse of the Reddit "dump" at around 6:36PM ET

Reddit said on its status site that it had a "slight issue" with a routine software upgrade. A spokeswoman for the site pointed to the Reddit Status page for any updates.
The full discussion can be had right here...   Let us know how you made out during the Reddit outage!  Are you ok?
